Mr. David L Miller
On behalf of the staff at Marengo High School, I am happy to welcome you to the 2019-2020 school year! We are looking forward to a productive partnership with you to ensure our children can achieve their highest potential. We understand that in order to be successful in school, our children need support from both the home and school. Thanks in advance for your support.
We are constantly seeking new ways to better serve our students. Starting this year, we are providing our students more opportunities to become College and Career Ready by partnering with local schools and colleges. One of our partnerships will afford students opportunities to study nursing and welding for the first time. Our dual enrollment will ensure successful students opportunities to earn college credit and graduate from MHS with an associate degree as well. Our GEAR-UP partnership will provide successful graduating students scholarship to attend any state community college starting in 2021.
We realize that it takes strong partnerships with you and many others to make a great difference in your child's education. As partners, we share the responsibility for our children's success and want you to know that we will do our very best to carry out our responsibilities. We ask that you guide and support your child's learning by ensuring that he/she has your full support.
Please consider joining our school's volunteer program as our students can greatly benefit from your involvement and contributions to the school's program and its operations. We seek volunteers to help us with all school activities. Starting this year, we are providing over 30 clubs and groups to teach our students the important of leadership and community service. Once again we are activating our 10 for 10 campaign by asking alumni and supporters to give $10.00 for ten months to aid MHS in its’ efforts (make all checks to MHS).
The wonderful Marengo High staff and I feel privileged to be a part of this school family. We thank you for your past support. We look forward to meeting with you to create stronger bonds and partnerships that will ensure the legacy of MHS.
